You walk along a beach and close your eyes You hear waves, boats, children's cries, birdsong... But have you ever wondered what you'd hear underwater? The underwater soundscape is made up of sounds from three different sources: earth, marine fauna and human activities.
What's the point of studying different soundscapes? It's essential! To study certain animal species, assess the quality of different habitats, understand the behavior of marine fauna and the potential impacts of human activities. It also allows us to ensure the preservation and conservation of our precious oceans!
